  1. Sorry Kevin, but a pilot who has FAA medical and who was comming in to land on a RUNWAY- hits a parachutist who shouldn't be there- and its time the Pilot gave up flying because he is too old - perhaps the mid forties parachutist is to old???.
  2. Amazing how it looks just like a Fairey Firefly

  4. One reason for me is when I talk to modellers about 1/4,1/2,1/16th its easier- 4.5mill is just longer to say and then visulise,
  5. Sorry Allan cannot see your point, The vulcan has taken lots of money to keep flying, money we could have used to get such Icons such as the Hampden, Stirling or Halifax or trainers such as the Oxford or the Wellington flying- What about the Nimrod as a defender or the Uk.   Edited By Keiran Arnold on 22/11/2013 22:29:06
  6. No leave the leds in the tail pipe but just dim them quite a bit. However can we have a bit of imagination with the Markings. 558 is not the only prestigous Vulcan - XM607 has a better service history - or even XM597 both of which can be seen (RAF waddington /East Fortune). Oh great build though Tony.

  11. Merry Christmas to all Keiran
  12. Bustergrunt, I dont read Tony Ks post the same way as you, I suspect what he says is true. If you look at how some of the security measures are applied you have to doubt their actual intentions.
  13. Tom, as I recall only 4 A10s were lost in Gulf war 1, and only 1 in Gulf war 2, Its a Close air support aircraft with a Forward Air Controller capability. This is something it excells at and it certainly doesn't loiter at high level were its slow speed would make it a sitter for any SAM system.
