Eddie Flux
Could anyone advise how to repair or where to buy a new one. The rocker arm that operates the micro switch has broken off. I would be grateful for any help offered thanks.
Pete B
Horizon offer excellent service, Eddie. If it's repairable by you they'll probably be happy to put one in the post or you can send it the Tx off to them and they'll do it. The bill will be a pleasant surprise, if past experience is anything to go by! Contact them as below: Address; Horizon Hobby UK Units 1 to 4 Ployters Road Staple Tye, Southern Way, Harlow, ESSEX CM18 7NS Telephone; 44 (0) 1279 641097 Fax; 44 (0) 1279 428863 E-Mail; [email protected] Pete
Frank Skilbeck
I've had two go on my DX6i, quick phone call to Horizon and they've put a replacement in the post, real easy to change. You can buy cnc metal ones in the US if you want to bling your radio.
Vecchio Austriaco
What you are searching for you find here http://www.eastrc.org/shop.cgi/page=estoretrimtab1.htm/SID=1266615384.21857 My son had the same problem - we think it was also coming from the fact that we were flying at minus 7°C - I had the replacement parts after 10 days (this includes the Italian post which is not always the fastest....) at home. For my opinion better than the replacement parts from Horizon as they will have the same problem again and again and again... Eddie Flux
Thank you all for your help I will contact Horizon and get one posted to me. Perhaps I should get four as it seems to be a general weakness with this set.
Frank Skilbeck
Yes, unfortunately the replacement ones they send out are typically the older design salvaged from broken sets, apparently the newer sets have an improved design, but they aren't stocked as a spare part. They sent me 2 last time so I have a spare.
