Dusty
I saw a post earlier today "I think Tom" asking about the nose? The post is removed for some reason now. Anyway I did think about making it not as "ugly" but if you going to make the nose more scale then you need to make the intakes more scale too with all the effort required, its a pile of foam covered in glass so aint bothered and just wanted a fun Hawk to fly really, one can get away with other detail to make up for the poor moulding. Will never win scale comps, no interest in going too deep into scale, just have a semiscale model thats fun to fly Edited By Dusty on 06/07/2010 20:55:
Tom Foreman
Yeah, I know what you mean, at some point you have to move on otherwise these things never get finished if you keep on deliberating over how best to do somthing, sometimes the best sollution is discovered during the build, and of course what you learn on one model will make the next one better. I'm delving into the complexities of fixing a carbon mouldie at the moment (my beloved Artist F3F has been trashed by stupid me) I'm learning so much I'm seriously tempted to get some vacuum bags and having a go at this mouldie lark myself Tom
BizJet Tech
I'll make it complicated if you like! If I makage to load the sketch it should give you the idea. Alan Edited By BizJet Tech on 06/07/2010 23:45:
Dusty
Tom, Good luck with the moulding, if you can get it working it will be real handy to make your own models or vac form parts for exsiting models. A mate of mine forms all his own stuff, he is really clever! Alan, thanks for the diagram, I am going to print it off and see what I can do with it. Once i have some time I will fit the doors, I have some nice light and strong Gfk material to make the doors out of.
