Phil 9
Please can I hear you recomendations for a small park fly model. Safe enough to fly down my local park. The park has a lake so a float option would be good also. The multiplex Fun Cub looks about right but at 55 inch wing span it is a little large. I was thinking 35 inches max

Phil 9
Wot 4 is nice but looking expensive compared to the H2O
Stephen Grigg
Id go with the Fun Cub flies in less space takes off in 4 feet lands at snails pace very controllable and forgiving, ideal
Steve W-O
It doesn't seem to be easy to get something like that without a radio. I would agree on the funcub, or even an easycub, bit cheaper but no ailerons or flaps. The funcub is probably safer than many of the models that are a bit smaller, as it is more stable. It certainly lands in a smaller space than most of them. With the flaps full down, it will come in at around 45 degrees without picking up too much speed, which is useful in our park, flare and it rolls 10-20' only
Phil 9
Look Here What do you think of this?
Jonathan Lewzey
do multiplex still do the minimag? that had a float option and was about 40" span, 4ch control. no subsitute for a shocky in the park though was flying 3D in a park one time when a guy walks past me and says something like "you've got the hang of that haven't you" LOL
Phil 9
Or what about this
Phil 9
minimag is still about I will have a look
Jonathan Lewzey
only problem with any of those types is that they're exclusively waterplane. minimag is convertible, if a little more costly. also looks a lot better IMO. if you just get the kit and float set, you can buy electrics much more cheaply than the multiplex stuff
Stephen Grigg
They do a float set for the Fun Cub also, highly recommended
Stephen Grigg
Fun Cub has been far more poular than Multiplex expected and fresh ones are not expected to be available to the end of September.
