Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
Its a good job the road was quiet! I love the way he pulls into the car park and his mate says "Watch the wing"! I've had engines like that BEB PS Mind you, to quote Kipling "If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs - then maybe you don't understand the full gravity of the situation"!Edited By Biggles' Elder Brother on 12/11/2010 00:09:

Bob Moore
Quite amazing, lucky there wasn't a lot of traffic. Nice clip here I picked up on the same site. Nice bit of rc flying after a model loses a wing. kind of flying skill I dream of having.
Josip Vrandecic -Mes
Is not clear to me that the co-pilot applauded (typical American end of bad movies)
Steve Houghton 1
You can tell it wasn't the UK as there was no traffic, here he'd have landed on top of a load of cars at best.
Ross Clarkson
Yeah, thats a nice video Bob. I believe it inspired someone to make a fake one like that which was supposed to be a real aircraft doing that!!
Bob Moore
Yes, I've seen the fake of the real Red Bull one as well. Re the applause, people (in the UK) often applaud when airliners land? Not me though. I'm not entirely surprised the co pilot/instructor did, no doubt release of tension?
Bob Moore
Makes a relief from decorating and rubbing down a bad ceiling to come and make a post or two! Can't even go out and tune my new SC40 (that I've finally, after many frustrating hours, managed to get running reasonably,) as it's piddling down outside
Tony Smith 7
Very low to be overflying a built up area.
Bob Moore
That's the USA for you maybe. A friend of mine hired a light aircraft in Florida afew years back. His son has a PPL (he went on to fly Tornados in the RAF!) after a familiarisation flight in the aircraft they were told, ok go for it. What rules they said. 'Do what you like' , they said. Pete B
Don't know about a round of applause - if I'd been in the passenger seat the pilot would have got a big wet slobbery kiss!............... Pete
Tony Smith 7
He was on the deck around one minute from the first engine stop, in spite of around 20 seconds of power from the two restarts.
