Paul Marsh
Update: The Xtreme Wot 4 is now out. Saw the first one at Weston, and Inwoods had 3 in. So now it actually exists and wonder who has got one?
Rcslopesurfer
I've just bought one after seeing it at Weston park. Slough models have them in stock I will know tomorrow what engine I'm going to fit once I've worked out any clearance issues I'm desperately hoping the dle 60 twin will fit it as I'm looking at this airframe as a stop gap to a bigger aerobatic machine that will use that engine. Steve_Wright
Did see this, thought it was just an XL in purple, the fuz didn't look any bigger. I see they have moved the tail servos to the rear, better than the XL setup. Wing servos are a neater mount too
Jon Laughton
If there was an ARTF kit of the Xtra Wot I would be interested - does anyone know if that is in the pipeline?

Paul Marsh
And at Inwoods, at Weston Park. Didn't get one yet, probably later in the year, as I've waited 2 years and waiting 2 months won't hurt. Or will it
Browny
What sized glo would this fly on guys? I've got a .160 OS FX that was in a World Models Miss America 80" until it deadsticked and met its end. Particulaly interested in a large model, this is £100 cheaper than a replacement miss america. So im interested.

scott finnie
Got one coming from hobbystores!!! Not sure what i'll be powering her with yet, got a few different ideas, will be petrol though and will push her through her full flight envelope on her maiden too, looking forward too a much larger wot4 that can tackle longer grass and be an all out tug! Phil Claridge
used to fly a huge wot 4,87in span with flaps using a zenoah 38. had plenty of power and looked spectacular in the air. it did all the wot 4 could do just bigger and better. sadly lost it on third flight due to radio failure
Rcslopesurfer
Well Ive taken it all out the box & this thing is just massive few nice touches in that the under cart is in two halves & theres a alloy spinner included in the kit. Engine ive bought ended up being the DLE 55RA as the 62 would just have meant cutting so much of the cowl away it seamed pointless. The build will start tomorrow one questionI have is theres realy no recomended servos on any literature Ive found for this model I am thinking about running some heli cyclic servos in it that are. Torque 6.0V: 166.6 oz-in (12.00 kg-cm 6.0V: Speed 0.08 sec/60° Any reason I cant use these metal geared Align DS 610 mg servos?
Concorde Speedbird
Keep us updated with pictures, we've just built a Wot 4 XL for a 26cc petrol. The extreme must be huge! CS

Martin_H
Wot 4 Xtreme with Saito 60R3 Gasser on a custom 3 point mount with vibration absorbers. 6" Dubro wheels.
Paul Marsh
Nice engine! As this thread's been resurrected, I did get one and flown it quite a bit now. Has a DLE 40 flat twin in it and a very quiet silencer system, less noise than a .40, really.
Martin_H
Anyone have problems with the wing attachment? I read somewhere it's advisable to beef up the L/E bulkhead and wing mount holes. The only way I can see to do that would be a doubler on the bulkhead and notch out the wing inner L/E to suit.
