Steve Houghton 1
This video was filmed flying on Hirwaun Common and was the first time that 2 of us had flown there. The lift was awesome and we all had a fab day. To read the full story go to A470Soaring.blogspot.com HIRWAUN COMMON from Chuck Glider on Vimeo. Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
Do you guys think you could do us all a massive favour and please read the tutorials here on how to post links/pictures/videos. Meanwhile, when the mods have got an hour or two to spare, we'll try to sort this mess out! BEB
Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
OK, the page is fixed now! A general point here for everyone! If you screw it up and can't fix it - at least let us know by PM'ing one of us before it gets to be a whole page like that. We can fix one duff post quite quickly and can then advise you on how to go forwards. But if you don't tell us, and we don't spot it, we can't help and we end up with a whole page of posts to fix which doesn't make us any too happy and it spoils everyones enjoyment of some otherwise excellent videos. Switch off moan mode! BEB

Tom Foreman
Hi Jim, just go to your video on Vimeo and click on the share icon, that opens a window that will let you copy the embed url which you can post here via the Youtube tool button. The other forums Barc's, RCMF and RCG are a bit easier to use than here as you can just paste the Vimeo URL and the forum software manages the embed automatically, maybe a possible upgrade for the Mods to think about when the next forum software update is done? Cheers Tom
SlopeFlyer
I did try that but got a blank box. A guide specific to vimeo is prolly a good idea.
Chris Bott - Moderator
Thanks Tom, short of making myself a Vimeo account just to see how it works I can't advise, so your note is useful. Could you (or anyone who uses vimeo) have a look, find out how to set videos to 450 wide (or 450x300 maybe) and post here how to do it. If a large video is embedded using your method, then the page goes to pot again. There is a way to change it afterwards - in edit post mode, right click on the vid, select Iframe or flash properties as appropriate, then set the size. Yep we all agree there are improvements that could be made as suggested, we are struggling to get them up the techies priority list. But rest assured we are constantly banging away. Slopflyer - after you have embedded a Vimeo, try a refresh to see if the Vid appears.
Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
Hi, I did this last night - its dead easy. You get up your Vimeo video, press "share" then select "embed" then below the video there is a "customise embed" button. Press that, select 450 width (the height will sort itself out), then copy the embed code. Insert in here using "embedded media button" not the YouTube button. Simples! BEB PS - The screen is blank at insert time - its the same with You tube - so all you get is an outline box, but it works fine once you actually make the post.
