Steve W-O
Anybody thought of using a rasberry pi on models? could be useful on multicopters. I would like to get one anyway, just to see what it can do, even as a media player it would be cheap.
Steve Hargreaves - Moderator
Surely the only thing to use with a Rasberry Pi is some nice thick custard?? Or have I missed something??
Del Wheatley
i use strawberry jam because all the flys and bugs that stuck to my model provide xtra lift as they flap away trying to escape.here is a link to some fruity oil for those that mix there own fuel Edited By Del Wheatley on 30/01/2012 14:35:47Edited By Del Wheatley on 30/01/2012 14:36:

Olly P
Ahhh...it is a small processor board. interesting Steve, not an electronics/programming guru, but yes could indeed be handy as a control board for a multi-copter.
Towlie
Looks very interesting doesnt it, I saw this today five uses for it http://gizmodo.com/5889245/five-things-you-can-do-with-the-new-raspberry-pi doesnt list multicopters though
Allan Bowker
I been hearing and reading about this little marvel for a while now, I'm hoping the Raspberry Pi gets around schools more. Kids these days don't get to program things like we did in the 80's.

I have been waiting quite a while to, but also will not pay any inflated prices. Besides, the price will probably be £22 now because of the demand and increased order size. I hope to get more than one, first one will be a networked media player to go behind the TV, all the films and MP3s on hard drive available, plus netflix, youtube, internet, email etc etc for less than £30 including a PSU. Cyclicscooby
As an old Cobol / Unix programmer, I think If it gets the kids to think a little about the programming required to create the simpliest of programs, it's ace... Bit like the EMMA I had to use a college... Only that had to be programmed in HEX.. !! Which explaines why i prefer to program my PIC stuff in ASM, not basic Can't see how it'll be any more useful than a PIC for RC tho... ?? Luv Chrisie.. xx Edited By Cyclicscooby on 01/03/2012 10:55:
