Alternative receivers for Hitec Spectra 2.4GHz module

Recommended Posts

Hi John.

If you are using a Hitec Spectra then, as far as I'm aware, there are no other alternatives.

Your best bet would be to buy a Frsky or Corona module and use their receivers. The module and receiver would probably be cheaper than a Hitec receiver alone. If you use a Frsky or Corona module specified for Futaba you will find that it will fit the Optic 6, you just have to put it in upside down.

Giant Cod sell them.

You can use the Minema 6/6e. Look at Airtek hobbies on the top right of this page. They're £26.95 and will work with the Spectra 2.4 module, but only after updating the TX module with the latest firmware, via the Hitec HP22 unit. I did a thread a while ago, as I bought the Spectra module, even though the Optima Rx's worked ok, couldn't get the Minema to bind.

Sorted now. at £26, good value, and full-range, as well...
