Stuart Eggerton
I owned this glider about 5 years ago, but it was a write off when I got radio failure at 1000ft! there was not much left of it after it hit the ground The chap I bought it off down south didn't know what it was called, does anyone know the name of this glider? it's got a wingspan of 4 meters and it is a RES glider. The tail is quite disinctive. Edited By Stuart Eggerton on 28/04/2012 11:22:
PatMc
It could be an Aries III.
Strum
Or possibly a Chris Foss Multiphase? It is 142" span.
Erfolg
I was thinking of a "Clean Machine", by the shape of the tailplane. Against is the polyhedral wing, as I remember the CM it was a simple dihedral with a simple double tapered wing (le &te) from root to tip. The tailplane is typical of the 80s, ensuring the pivot point was well ahead of the CP, to try and avoid flutter, at speed. Could well be an own design, as most were at the size, in competition work.
