Hello!

Well, where do i start?

I'm Liam B, 13 and from London.

I have been into RC for around 3 years now. I started with a small losi micro-DT car. It was amazingly fun to drive around the house and the decking in the garden. I then upgraded to a bigger 1/10 scale buggy. And that was fun too. I got into RC heavily with the lipo's and chargers spektrum radio too! Over the 2.5 years i was into Cars. Then i changed my focus to learning to fly! I Saved up and got a Clone of the Easystar made by dynam. It flys great! I've mastered orientation and some very basic areobatics. I've designed a paperplane styled plane too!

Done a lot of work on it since that image was taken about 4 weeks ago. Hope to maiden it on the weekend.
Well, I've been buying RCME from WHSmiths every month not really thinking about subscribing until this October issue. Last month my soldering iron gave up the ghost and stopped heating up. It was my fathers old one and i decided it would be best off in the bin. So i was going to buy a new one but then i read that you could get a free one if i subscribed, So I did!
I'd like to point out a few things before asumptions are made about me. I Suport this hobby through many ways;
My paper round
Washing parents and neibours cars
Doing odd jobs (such as gardening for elderly neibours.)
My current fleet is:
Dynam hawk sky,
Blade MCX2 (birthday present)
Paper plane style Dubbed "concorde"
And soon to be a Acro wot foam-e If i can get the extra £70 over the next few months.
Well, Hope i have made you fall asleep with my RC life story!
Liam

Hi Liam,

welcome to the forum great to have you with us. We're a pretty friendly lot on here so I'm sure you'll soon find your way around and meet lots of new aeromodelling mates. If you have any questions - don't hesistate to ask. We all need a little help sometimes!

One bit of advice - we do have a slightly weird way of inserting pictures on this forum! That's why your images haven't come out above. Take a look at the tutorial section and you'll find some detailled info on how to do this. Any questions after reading that - ask!

Hi Liam, and welcome.

I don't know if you mentioned it above but are you a member of the BMFA or similar and therefore taking advantage of the insurance they offer for RC related mishaps? I know it sound terribly old and fuddy duddy of me (and I'm not even 30 yet), but it really is worthwhile finding a club and joining or at least joining the BMFA for the insurance - especially as a junior member!
