Very very good job there (and I'm not just saying compliments to get you to build Concorde, it is really nice!) CS

Martyn K
I really want to se one of these fly, it looks fabulous What do you use for masking tape Tony? Martyn
Tony Bennett
i don't martin. pencil line on the covering and a steadyish hand. up close the lines are wavey as hell, but from a mile away it looks ok.
Martyn K
It doesn't look that wavy to me. I notice that B&Q are now selling 'professional' spec masking tape - expensive - I think it is about £15 per roll! Martyn
Tony Bennett
i allways get bleed under with tape, so i ended up doing it by hand. i actualy like this part of the build the most, you can see the model come to life and start to look like somethimg. got the dreaded fitting out very soon. then i can deliver it and start something for me. Martyn K
Ask the buyer to provide some in flight photos please Tony. Martyn
Tony Bennett
might end up building another one for me yet.
jeff2wings
T.B. you can avoid the bleed under the tape by applying a coat of the base colour over the edges , it works for me ,I also prefer to use the 6mm tape from Flair or Tamya as it follows curves quite well , if the curves are tight I use the 3mm tape BTW great colour scheme p.s and get that wing made for that Lancer ! Tony Bennett
next job sir, i have the wood now and a pdf plan for the rimfire as well. got to strip all the covering off of the lancer fuselage yet. Tony Bennett
got the fuselage sealed, well 2 coats of sealer. last one will go on after i have fitted it out. Put the first coat of paint on the underside of the wing. got the blue on the top of the wing. need to do the white when dry, then a second coat. fit the ailerons and seal. then it is just the job i hate, fitting out and final tidying. Rudder servo is in and working. elevator servo's are in and working. wing plate is in. just leaves motor/esc to go on the fuselage.
