Peewhit
Hi Mark, CW tape has a release agent on the back of it to prevent it sticking to itself on the roll. Lightly sand the lower layer of tape and wipe with isopropylalcohol or methylated spirits to remove the release agent. The CW tape should then stick to itself. On difficult areas like wing tips a warm iron will also help with adhesion.
Frank Skilbeck
Apart from the fact that the model goes up as if by magic, the big difference is by default you are usually facing into wind with the model flying in front of you, as you fly back and forwards across the slope you tend to turn out into wind at the end of each pass, the wind causing the model to drift towards the slope along the pass. But the plane doesn't know that it's just your perspective. Slope soaring is a great way to learn that elevator controls speed.
Steve Houghton 1
So come on Mark, has it flown yet?
John A H
Picked up an old style wildthing at a swapmeet last week. Stripped off the existing coloured tape, renewed the strapping tape on the underside and have just finished slapping some coloured vinyl on the top surfaces. I_AM_MARKEVANS
I'm afraid to say it has not. I haven't even finished putting it together yet =/ Other things have gotten in the way lately and with work i haven't really put much attention to this hobby. It may fly by the summer....maybe
