center of gravity

Hi i have a model tech p51d mustang before i fly this model has anyone had issues with center of gravity and would a os 91 four stroke be man enough to fly this plane many thanks

I think a 91 4t would be excessive. The balance point is detailed on page 59 of the instructions, assuming that this is the correct model.

a 91 four stroke in a 46 size model - I'd respectfully suggest that if you need to ask the question, then the answer is probably no.

i think you have the wrong model this a 66" wingspan model tech it is quite an old kit and i do not have the insructions

apologies, in that case a 90 4 stroke sounds about right! My H9 Harvard at 68" is quite gentle with an RCV91CD, an OS has alittle more power so sounds a good choice.

as i dont have the instruction manual this basicly an early artf most of the building is done you just have to put it together and cover and paint this a 66" wing span model tech p51d mustang has any have one and sugest a centre of gravity many thanks

I would suggest that a safe starting point would be 25% of the root chord back from the leading edge at the root. I would also suggest taking the root chord starting at a point in line with the straight leading edge and ignoring the small swept forward part for the wheels.'

i.e Draw a line that continues the main leading edge and use that as a starting point
