  1. Rip Peter, I always enjoyed his anecdotes of his air force service. Condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed.
  2. Also be aware, if Customs & Excise thinks you & the sender are under valuing the Item. They have been known here in Ireland to Google the item and charge duty based on the higher value. The tinternet isn't just useful for us. I have a friend who is a postman, he collects obscure CD's & Vinyl (he's a nice bloke really), he has had C & E check on-line for the value of an item. Brexit, just keeps giving. 😁
  3. I bought those plans a couple of years ago. They are a direct copy of the Cambrian drawings. I would also like a copy of the building instructions if anyone has them tucked away. What has stopped me making an attempt at building the model is the lack of engine cowls. I could possibly make them using Peter Millers pop bottle method. 🙂 The other difficulty is the front fuselage/cockpit is also a moulding which, I imagine, would be difficult to make. If someone had an original cockpit, I would have a go at making a fibreglass copy. 😁
  4. Sad news. (Edit Spelling) Edited By Eamonn Fahey on 26/08/2019 15:26:33
  5. Great to see that there are still considerate and generous suppliers around. Well done HobbyKing.
  6. That looks brilliant Geoff. Are Gordons drawings in the forum or in his excellent book? Thanks.
  7. Posted by Martyn K on 02/02/2018 15:04:56: Do you know what diameter Sanding disk is used? Martyn, the sander was available in Ireland from yesterday. The diameter of the disc is 125mm. There are 6 discs included - 2 X 80; 2 X 150 & 2 X 240 grit. They did not have any spare discs available but according to the instructions, they are available to order (no price). Eamonn.
  8. Hi Brian, there is a Doppler 'speed radar' available for iPhones. You will need someone else to hold your phone but it is quite accurate.
  9. Have to agree Nightflyer 2013, the Veron Avro 504K was one I lusted after.
  10. Scan your Passports & Driving Licenses and any other documents you think are important and e-mail them to your 'G mail' account. This way you can access them from any computer anywhere in the world.
  11. Previous post *HERE* with info on Purple Haze.
  12. *THIS* has popped up on HobbyKing.com Waiting for a bit more information before making a purchase.
  13. Thanks John. That is very neat. The Saws were available on Sunday here in Ireland . I fancy a smallish bench saw for Balsa & Ply and, maybe, ripping my own Spruce spars and stringers.
