Steve Hargreaves - Moderator
The wattmeter is the only way to be sure Danos......without it you really are in the dark. It might be OK.....then again...it might not!!!
Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
I agree with Steve - there is only one way to be sure and that's measure it! You'll just have to be patient and wait for your Wattmeter to arrive. BEB

Danos
Well after some testing in the house the esc at full throttle heated up nothing major jus slightly warm i decided as you are all suggesting i should wait for my watt meter to arrive. I can wait a few days ive had to replace an esc from another project and a failed servo while in flight yesterday luckily i managed a decent crash landing no damage So im not keen on adding to my bill if i can help it...Im not sure what i like most flying or repairing Thanks guys Danos
Frank Skilbeck
Of course the key piece of missing info was the lipo, 2s,3s or 4s, using drivecalc you get the following for a 1100kv motor on an 8 x 6 2s = 11A 3s = 21A 4s = 32A 8 x 5 on a 3s is about 16A
