stuey
Hi, a quick run down on my GWS A-10. It is fitted with two GWS 55mm fans fitted with 3800kv inrunners, powered by a 3S 2200 lipo. The canopy area has been modded into a hatch, carbon spars added to the wing and tailplane. It is painted with a mix of emulsion and Tamiya acrylic (grey) brushed on. Finished off with some waterslide decals and a coat of matt varnish. It flies pretty well, not fast possibly due to the undercambered section but plenty of thrust. A pic is in my album, will add to the post later.
Paul Marsh
I had one, but was using stock motors and NIMH batteries for the time. Had no power and full chat only got 6ft off the ground, eventually hitting a fence, re-arranging the front-end. Had I've used Lipo then, would've gone better, like the GWS C-130. Pathetic with old batteries, but plenty of power/duration on 1600mah 3s lipo, even with the stock motors. stuey
Thanks chaps. I kept the underside white for a good contrast. Build it Andrew, you will get more out of flying it than selling the bits Edited By stuey on 12/10/2013 08:56:
StuartC
Nice A-10. I miss my A-10. it was damn near indestructible. I also have the GWS C-130, stock motors, 3cell 1000mha lipo running all 4 motors. it flies very scale like at 1/2 power and runs for about 12 min like that.
