A miserly performance

Recommended Posts

My flight this morning In almost ideal conditions demonstrates the benefit of a good power to weight ratio coupled with reasonable aerodynamic efficiency.

Two climbs to about the limit of visibility for a 40" span plane.

1300ft climb

The first decent was a glide, the second a twenty turn spiral dive!

The 1500mAh 3s needed just 167mAh to fully recharge!

For a flight lasting 13:50 that means an average consumption of just 726mA (just under 3/4A) and that includes the power for the radio and servos!

Miserly or what. wink 2

Reminds me of being driven along the side of Strangford Loch in N. Ireland by a proud relative showing off his new BMW 530. The Sat-Nav showed that were travelling parallel to the shore, about 1/4 mile out, where the water is about 200 ft.deep. It could have been a contingent for something, but I never have succeeded in figuring out German logic!

Which of your planes is this one Simon?
