Bob Cotsford
What's the span? 55" or thereabouts? 46 or 52, 60"+ a .60. It looks really familiar but the name escapes me.
Cliff Bastow
Wingspan is 63" I think its quite an old design.
crispin church
61 be a good start should be quite quick
Cliff Bastow
thanks for the help guys. I will try a 61 first. The fuselage is quite narrow so I dont think anything much bigger would fit the firewall anyway. No one recognise the model yet? Cheers
Paul Jefferies
I think it may be a "Challenger", designed by Steve Burgess back in the early 80s for the then new turnaround patterns....... http://scottishf3a.tripod.com/id12.html If so, yes a good .61 would be the power to go for, preferably on a pipe! An all black model will be a nightmare to fly from the point of view of orientation so I would strongly recommend putting some decoration or markings on it so that the top is very obviously different to the bottom....... Jon H
modern 61 would make it a missile. If that's what you want then ok, but something like an ASP 52 would provide more than enough power as well at being lighter and more compact.
Cliff Bastow
Thanks guys I will check that out. You are probabally right about the pipe as there is a moulded recess for one on the underside, I had already thought about the colour scheme and am planning some decoration to make it different top and bottom. I did think something likt the RAF Tuccanos that are black with yellow flashes but I suspect they are the same top and bottom so that wont really help. I might just do the wings a different colour underneath. Many thanks all Edited By Cliff Bastow on 30/05/2014 09:16:
