Danny Fenton
believe it or not the heat is getting to the 1ghz link between camera and base unit so appologies for the interruption to our usual service
Danny Fenton
Just spent an hour doing a write-up with 10 carefully selected photos from a possible 741 and I got the message saying the message was too long and the system deleted it. So I will just say the weekend was great, and a big success
Bob Cotsford
I'll second that Danny, I came along for a look-see, loved the 1/4 warbirds and the dawn Patrol. Excellent day out, but can you turn the thermostat down a shade next year please?
Danny Fenton
Hi Bob, ther is just no pleasing some people No I agree, it was too hot. Sunday evening walking around the perimeter pulling out one and a half miles (I kid you not) of steel posts was hard going, especially in that heat and after a weekend that started Thursday evening. Anyway will sneak in the odd picture LOL hopefully I haven't written too much already......

Tim Mackey
Message too long frustrates me too Danny ! However it should NOT have deleted it. I now usually type up any potentially long posts in WORD first, then copy and paste...that way I know they are safe if the gremlins strike !Glad you had a good weekend - and pity I missed it, but also had a great day yesterday at both the Roodee and Wrexham shows.PS found your submitted pictures and just cleared them all...so should be live in gallery already ! Danny Fenton
Thx Timbo, yes if I am going to write something lengthy I would use word, but this wasn't that long unless the ten pictures did it anyway probably better letting the pictures do the talking. I guess everybody had good events, the weather really helps, by the way the ice cream I bought for you on Saturday tasted really good, much better than mine
Tim Mackey
LOL - the ones I had, ( bought for me by friends ) tasted great too - but had to be eaten very quickly in the scorching weather we enjoyed. You still owe me one or ten

Danny Fenton
UPDATE Greenacres Model Aero Club are holding our annual Electric Fun Fly event this weekend (16th and 17th August). We have found one weather site that actually says the weather is going to be sunny all weekend, we wont mention the others as they are obviously rubbish Anyway we have already several good sized A123 powered scale models attending, including a 10' B17, two nicely weathered YT warbirds (spit and Hurricane) as well as a Brace of Sea Furies. A nice Toni and a lovely pair of Moths, Cirrus and Tiger. Not to mention aerobatic models of all sizes, from a large Adrenaline to Edges and 3Demons, etc all powered by A123.As well as a smashing line up of traditional LiPo powered aircraft. Bob Partington often attends and flies his lovely YT Spitfire with Benedini sound system which is well worth hearing and seeing, and his Raptor is very impressive too, Bob is a very smooth pilot and great to watch. Another regular is Dave Orme, he often brings something special, last year it was a very large Lancaster.Grant from Foamy Jets, AllElectric, Mad4RC, RCM Parts, as well as a good selection of traders have said they will be there. As an added bonus there WILL NOT BE DB sounds If you are into electric and want to come along and have a fly or just a chat, you are more than welcome, there is no admission charge whether you make it an afternoon out or the whole weekend, you will be made very welcome.Greenacres Electric Fun FlyOutrageous plug over
Tim Mackey
Well Danny, as you know I am unable to make it this year, but will be there in spirit and in the flesh next time, god willing. Have a great weekend, safe flying.... and lets hope the weather is kind for all our events this weekend.
Danny Fenton
Thx Timbo, yes its a shame you cannot make it. We will have a big M1 nano phosphate that we will pray to for good weather Chris came up with this rather apt rendition of the A123 logo

Danny Fenton
I know exactly what you mean we looked at several last evening, (because it was too awful to test fly some new models, despit the forecast) and the difference in predictions was amazing, it does make you wonder if they wouldn't be better sticking a damp finger in the air LOL
