Paul Holmes 2
Has anybody any idea where I could obtain a scale spinner for the Flair Tiger Moth fitted with a Laser 150..
Paul Holmes 2
It's not a spinner I need but a prop nut to suit the TM.

Paul Holmes 2
Hi Steve, nice to hear you are still at it. Give me a call later and we can arrange the visit. You have my home number if not it's on the club's web site.
Paul Holmes 2
Hi cymaz, thanks for the reply. I have all the technical data on 'Laser' engines etc. but I need to track down a scale prop. nut for a Tiger Moth of 1/4 scale fitted with a 'Laser' engine. cymaz
I know this may not be exactly scale and it's in the US. It's the best I can do at the moment .
Stevo
Or else the only thing to do is to turn one up on a lathe? I think mine is a bit small really, Paul - any ideas on size and type of thread on the Laser? M8 x 1.25mm is what Mr T's site says. If it's dead true to scale, I can't see how it could be tightened up, as there's no grip for a spanner. Else the prop is secured in the normal fashion, and the 'scale prop nut' screws on over the top as a dummy?
Martin Whybrow
My Laser 90 (old style with grub screws for the carb and exhaust) has a 5/16 x 24 thread on the crank. I bought this prop nut for my Bird Dog which might suit; it has an integral grub screw down the centre to lock it onto the crank which is perfect for a 4 stroke (although Lasers are polite and don't tend to backfire). Paul Holmes 2
Martin thanks for the info. I have been checking on line on different sites and there does appear to be several commercial units available if you care to shop around.
