Newbee phil
Anyone got one of these? Thinking of taking all the stuff out of my travelair and getting on of these... I'm bored of my "everyday type flyer" and want summat a bit quicker. .. I was also wondering if a .61 will fit? Or maybe bigger with a tuned pipe...... Jon Laughton
I flew one at the RC hotel in corfu last month: a nice pattern ship although I am not sure a 61 would fit easily.... The covering was not great though - there was quite a lot of decoration that had peeled off! I would consider one if I didn't already have a large fleet... Paul Marsh
I've got one with a OS SX 50 in it. Flys well and flown it in some nasty windy weather and strong enough for the uk weather.
Newbee phil
Hiya paul ... do you think a sc.61 would fit? As I have one doin nothing....
Paul Marsh
Should be okay, the extra weight won't affect it much, but might need the battery moving back a bit. Edited By Paul Marsh on 13/11/2014 20:03:
Chris Barlow
Not exactly the same plane but I have a Crescent Bullet (kit build) electric powered on a 6s. Very fast and precise and a lot heavier than the Ripmax and like Paul said handles the wind very well, although at one point it too became my "every day" flyer. I have since stripped it and covered it with epoxy glass cloth and a new spray job and now nearly ready to maiden the new paint!

gangster
Oh yet more nostalgia. I had one of the earlier ones back in the 80s. What a lovely model mine was quite heavy with a glass fibre fuselage and foam wings. I bought the fus at Sandown being sold as over weight It flew beautifully very stable and precise I had an OS45fsr abc in it that engine was a perfect match and I don't think I would have wanted a larger motor in it. I believe the ARTF is slightly larger but probably lighter. Lovely looking model and lovely to fly
