If the sales figures in that article are true, then there are going to be a lot more incidents, thought the phrase "Only a very small minority of people operating drones have attended training courses in how to fly them."

I didn't know there were training courses!!! Are there?

Commercial operators have to complete a training course, pass a test and be licensed by the CAA. I suppose that, as the commercial operators will be only a small proportion of the total 'drone' market, that phrase is probably correct....
