Christopher Osborn
Just purchased a new DX6 (EU spec) only to find that it no longer supports DSM2. have checked the wording in a number of UK adverts offering this new radio and all but one states DSMX / DSM2 compatible. Unfortunately I have several DSM2 receivers in functioning planes that would now appear to be redundant. Anyone else been tripped up by this, or am I mistaken ? Phil Green
You're right Chris, DSM2 is no longer permitted in newly manufactured transmitters and your new DX6 will not operate DSM2 receivers. Its not Spektrums fault, its purely a European directive - Spektrum continue to support DSM2 elsewhere. The topic has been well covered here and elsewhere though, it shouldnt have come as a surprise. One option is to ask your supplier if they have a 2014 DX6 which you could swap. Cheers Phil
John Lee
It was discussed on this thread DSM2 is dead (on new Spektrum radios) earlier this year. Horizon Hobby UK shows DSMX modulation only in the product specs of all their radios now on their website.
