Taranis voice announcements not working

Hi,

Has anyone else experienced the following issue with their Taranises (Taranai? Taranum?)

I have a voice annoucement set to say "low rates" "middle rates" or "high rates" when the switch is in the appropriate position. I also have a timer on the throttle that announces each minute of the countdown.

Was flying the Wot4 today for the first time in months and months (been learning full size gliding) - also the first time since upgrading to the 2.0.15 firmware. My 8 minute countdown timer annouced at 7 minutes, then at 6 minutes left it said "six" rather than "six minutes" and it said nothing else for the rest of the flight. Moving the rate switch didn't trigger the announcement.

Switch Tx off and on, and voice is working again. Again next flight it's OK for the first minute, doesn't say anything after "six".

So on the way home I left the Tx on in the car with the timer counting down. I got announcement at 7, 6, 5, 4, 3 and 2 minutes. Nothing at 1 minute, 30 seconds etc, though it did beep when the timer was up, but I think the beep is a different function to the voice announcements.

So what it looks like to me is that there's some kind of issue where it will only do a certain amount of voice announcements per flight. While flying I would be switching between rates, whereas when I let it run in the car on the way back I wasn't, so it didn't "use up" it's quota of voice till later.

Bizarre. And a bit worrying as if it is silent I won't be getting the RSSI warnings either.

Hmm maybe I'll try reflashing it, or maybe a different SD card. Perhaps its just sulking as I haven't flown for ages and won't talk to mesmiley

I've had this issue - formatting & re-flashing the SD card seems to have done the trick for me
