This one has got to be lucky for me as I used to look after the two Sea furies which we had at vintage flight RNAS Yeovilton.

They were the first aircraft to have a remote compass system and the flux detector installed in the tail could be raised to the horizontal for compass swinging. It was such a powerful beast that i was surprised that we lost one which had to belly land due to an undercarriage failure. Obviously it was written off which left one which to this day i believe is still based at Yeovilton.
