Cliff Bastow
Does anyone recognize this model I acquired recently? I have altered the shape of the fin and added the fuselage spine and headrest. The wings were open but I have fully sheeted them. It has also been altered around the front of the cockpit, moving the front edge further back and the cowl is not original. Not much to go on I know but any help appreciated.
Colin Leighfield
Sorry Cliff, you've got me stumped mate.
Phil Cooke
Difficult that one Cliff with all the mods made by yourself and by those before you acquired it - not a lot of the original to work with!! - I'd give it some thought and re-christen it yourself. onetenor
This may sound a bit daft but to me it looks like a team racer fuzz with new wings and tail. Something I have done in the past. I used a sheet wing curved over a few ribs and nylon undersurfaces , and a swept tail and wing in sheet., F/F though.I still have it but can't send pics as I don't have the right sort of camera . My web am keeps going of too along with blues screening. I'll have to contact Microsoft.

Cliff Bastow
Maybe he has seen some of my flying! I have checked out those models mentioned and I dont think its either of them. I am pretty sure its a kit or artf as the formers and wing ribs have nos printed on them.
Tony F
Looks a bit like a modified astro hog. But then again, I don't have my glasses on Tony
ted hughes
I think this query belongs in this thread. I bought a 52" span biplane, enlarged the span to 67", removed the bottom wing, changed it to a sport monoplane, (circa 1920s) and changed the shape of the vertical and horizontal stabs. I have sheeted the wings, changed the engine, altered the profile of the fuselage and now have a plane that doesn't fly. The quiz questions are: what was it; and what is it now? onetenor
A door stop or paper weight . Is this a serious question or tongue in cheek ?
Rick Tee
It's a fire lighter.
ted hughes
Thank you onetenor and Rick Tee, just tongue in cheek. Apologies Cliff, it just amused me that someone should ask what a model was after mods! As a matter of fact, most of my models end up as firelighters! Cliff Bastow
Many thanks to all who tried to help. I know I should have asked before the mods but circumstances did not allow. I guess it will have to stay a mystery. Perhaps that is what I should call it, the Mystery Ship. Oh wait hasn't that been done!
