leccyflyer
As a slope noobie I was looking for a basic traditional aerobatic slope soarer -thinking along the lines of Middle Phase or Phase 6 kits, and happened across this one at yesterday's fly-in. It might be a Krick kit, 62" span, built-up film-covered wing and built up fuselage, covered in glasscloth and painted, open framework horizontal stabiliser. It's a very solid model and I hope that it's just what I was looking for. Does anyone know what it is? Looks a little bit like a Sig Ninja, but hasn't got foam wings. leccyflyer
No guesses? A little bit of extra information - the fuselage formers have part numbers printed on them, apparently, indicating a kit built model, rather than a plan build. PatMc
Leccy, I've had a look in a number of old mags etc but drawn a blank on this. But if the formers etc have only part numbers as opposed to "F1", "F2" etc I think that strengthens your suggestion that it was a Krick kit. It seems to be the standard practice of identifying parts in any German kit I've built. Sorry I can't give any better help. BTW have you posted in RCG ? Edit : I see you have. It could be worth repeating the query in the RCG Vintage & Old-Timer section also on BARCS forum. leccyflyer
Thanks very much Pat I'll try those other venues to see if I can get more information-it;s more for curiosity than anything, I think the model will be exactly what I'm looking for at this stage in my slope adventure.
