aquila
Has anyone flown the Multiplex Heron on the slopes in a wind of 15 mph? If so how did it go?
Frank Skilbeck
I've flown my Easy Glider from the slope in wind stronger than that and had a chance to fly my friends Heron last night from the flat and it was quite windy, the Heron (as expected) flew superbly and cut through the wind very easily, even made a mouldie type wooshing noise at one point. Very impressed, I might have to get one and am thinking of making it slope/aerotow rather than electric, but I'd also be interested in hearing from anybody who's built one as a glider only option. Steve Colman
I can't vouch for the Heron but, myself and others have flown the Solius (the little brother) on the slope with great success. If I didn't already have the Solius I'd probably buy the Heron. Steve.
Delta Foxtrot
My Solius doesn't have a problem with stronger winds that that either
