Happyface 838
I've been out of flying for a considerable time and would like to finish an astrohog that I built from plan several years ago. Unfortunately the plan was lost during a house move. I think it was a keil kraft plan and am scuppered for the u/c without it. Can anyone help? Danny Fenton
Hi Brian, I have found a basic drawing for the Astrohog http://www.svensons.com/airplanes/?pd=AstrohogYou will need a drawing package to view this, there are several free .DWG viewers available on the web. Or drop me an E-Mail and I will send the file as a JPEG.However the drawing does not show the undercarriage layout. It looks as though it had a couple of blocks in the wings.Anybody else remember the undercarriage layout??
Graham Ashby 123
Brian, we have a couple of Astro Hogs in the plans range. One at 72" span (ref. RC699 for .29 - .60 engines) and an Astro Hog 40 by Dave Boddington (RM283). Tel. 01689 899200 for the Plans Service. Hope this helps. Tom Ruut
Hi Brian, I have the SIG plan for the Hog.The are 2 configs for the u/cart.There is a trike and taildragger layout.Which do you want? There is a separate strut in each wing with a torsion bar set up,it makes for very stable landings..Long live the Astro Hog! Peter Miller
The Sig Astrohog has the tailplane in a different location to the original one. The Sig one is on top of the fuselage, the original RCM&E plan will have it on the bottom of the fuselage. Flair alos made an Astrohog kit.
