David Mansfield
Hi Gents I have a DX7 for use with aeroplane only. Is there a way in which I can set up a switch to use as a throttle cut like you have for the helis. I have been using the throttle trim to cut and then reverting back to previous setting.... Any help would be most welcome but please treat me as a novice (I have just moved up from a Futaba Challenger for those okld enough to remeber). Chris Hornby
Assign the top right switch to throttle to throttle mix. You can also do this if you want to use it as an idle up control. I havnt got my DX7 in front of me so cant give exact details (upgraded to DSX9) but let me know if you want me to go into more detail and I will take a look.Chris
winchweight
I'll have a look on my son's DX7 as I have just upgraded to a DSX9.
Chris Hornby
Just took a look.Go to Prog Mix 6MIX THRO>THRORATE: 0% and -40%SW: MIXOFFSET: 0Now the TOP LEFT SW (MIX/RUDDER D/R) will switch the mix on and off. And act as a throttle cut.If you still want rudder d/r you will need to put all the dual rates on one switch. I also use this scheme to disable electric motors before picking the plane up after nearly severing my right arm once!Chris

The mixing idea is the way to go if you dont like the trim system
