Mark Kettle 1 Posted November 5, 2016 Share Posted November 5, 2016 On the Llyn Peninsula Saturday 13th of August 2016 Steve flew his 54" span Cloud Models DH Mosquito at the PSSA 'fly for fun' event at 'Ann's Place' near Abersoch North Wales. Great work Steve, and thanks for sharing! I'll be making a few of the changes seen here and in other threads but as my first build I'm not going to go quite as far as you did. But I do intend adding rudder control. Not sure about retracts yet, or just keep it simple. But certainly going to put the aileron servos in the fuz, so might tap you up for a link on where to get the control rods. Plan is to make this dual purpose for electric flight and soaring, so I've bought folding props already. If it worth me running a blog or video blog along the way? If you are intending dual use, I'd steer clear of the retracts and the associated weight of the units plus hard points etc. Maybe a dolly for grass (or hand launch?) and belly landings....in my opinion.
