Is that some thing we should care about these days? I mean I bought a printer from a well known shop it faulted after 5 weeks, I took it back and was told if it had developed a fault within 28 days they would have replaced it, because it was over that period it had to go back to Lexmark. 5 weeks I waited for that dam thing to return. When it did it had the same fault ! Does any retailer replace items if they break after 6 months or so? Or has the experience made me cynical. Lots of retailers operate the same policy.

might be an idea for an article there do a survey and check out afer sales policies.

Most goods are guaranteed to be fit for purpose for around 12 months. Your contract to provide this "feature" is with the place you bought it from, NOT the manufacturer or distributor. The "distance selling act" provides similar protection for consumers purchasing remotely .

All I am saying is that buying a somewhat specialist piece of hi- tech equipment from a "retailer" ( and we all know what many Ebay retailers are ) who does not even bother to ensure that the description is accurate, could be a recipe for trouble. What, if when you recieve it,it is duff, are you happy that it will be replaced with no quibble etc?

Technically speaking, you could report him / her for incorrect description of goods for sale.... I wonder how many innocent people may purchase one of these, and expect it to be a full 7 channel set?

Point taken, Although its just arrived intact and working fine, 10 out of 10 for delivery.Try telling all the above to the manager at PC World or Powerhouse where a similar thing happened. I can assure you it will get you nowhere. Ebay offers paypal protection which I have used once successfully just lost postage. My point in the first instance was there was a time when retailers would replace items within a 12 month period but now they return the item for repair to the manufacturers expecting us to wait long periods for its return.
