Braddock, VC
Fly Navy, I've just cut out the wing ribs and formers for the tipsy junior, power is going to be an OS 26 FS, how did yours fly?BTW Sorry to burgle the thread, I voted for the hurri but have a BT one to finish; the colour scheme looks good. Tony, what paints did you use?
fly-navy
John you give me the weather and I will let you knowThe Junior and next the Hurricane are a warm up ,for a very long BT hurricane build, and for my confidenceJohn
fly-navy
John,I will also say I followed Peter's build almost to the letter in as much that I had some reservations about one servo for ailerons because I have not had much success with this system in the past,at the servo end,but used his advice in his forum on this site where you use a piece of tinned brass tube with the tinned piano wire in plus a tinned cranked piece of wire for the servo arm and it all works well and I used 4 micro servos i got at Cosford from Budget RC for a tenner,I was a bit sceptical but another couple of punters came up to me later saying they had used them with no probs and asked what i wanted them for when I said the junior they said no problem, time will tellJohn

Tony Nijhuis
So pleased to get the model flying again after RX failure put the model in to river that runs next to the Hastings club field last week. A bit of a mess but the 5s lipo along with the motor and servos lived!!!The faulty RX was taken home put in the vice and crushed.......well made me feel better. After a weekend of drying out I sent 5 long nights re-building, covering and painting........Think I need another holiday and some sleep....but Thurday this week made it all worth it Cheers allTony

A.A. Barry
Personally, IF .......... but a RCV SP60 would be my choice, turns big props, and big pitch, no protruding " cyl head" ,at the wing span given, the sc 90 is a little bit much ........ my thoughts. Guys any other "views" Barry
