Colin Leighfield
We saw it last weekend. Great film. Classic example of the standard approach of stick the blame on the pilot:- pilot error. It is often the case but not always, but it's pretty obvious that if this had been a fatal accident and the crew hadn't survived to tell the truth, they'd have ended up with the blame. Sully, a great man and true hero.
Steve Hargreaves - Moderator
Saw the film recently & thoroughly enjoyed it.....amazing that Clint Eastwood is 86 & still directing films. The only bit that grated on me was the way the NTSB guys seemed determined to lay the blame on the pilot only to turn around to hail him as a hero after a few words at the inquest......I wonder how much was factual & how much was "artistic licence" as well. None of that detracts from a great film or takes any credit away from Chelsey Sullenberger who clearly did a great job in getting that aeroplane back down to earth....the opening sequence shows what may very well have happened.... Josip Vrandecic -Mes
Correct and important decisions are taken by ''yesterday''.....in this talent is ''hidden'' Sully the hero.
