Allan Jordan
Hi All, If you buy via mail-order watch out for an e-mail telling you that delivery could not be made due to incomplete address details, it pretends that it comes from United Parcel Service... THIS E-MAIL HAS A VERY NASTY VIRUS HIDDEN IN IT.THIS IS THE ADDRESS ... "United Parcel Sevices" [email protected]
Tim Mackey
Are we absolutely sure of the facts here Allan - some so called virus alerts are themselves a hoax - just checking
birdy
Better to be suspicius and wrong!
Tim Mackey
Ah yes, but some alerts that are being circulated are themselves the virus ! Many well meaning people have fallen foul of this scam, and inadvertantly spread the virus themselves... by emailing all their friends with the warning.I am NOT IN ANY WAY suggesting that Allan is doing this incidentally !! Tom Darville
Well Rocket and Tim beleive me (and Alan) PLEASE ,it is a GENUINE virus contained in a zip file which is why it is getting through a lot of filters as they don't all scan zip files. Here is the text contained within the mail itself (not the attachement)Unfortunately we were not able to deliver postal package you sent on July the 1st in timebecause the recipient’s address is not correct. Please print out the invoice copy attached and collect the package at our officeYour UPSTom

Matt Halton
I was just hit by the vundo virus,it is really really nasty and caused my PC to lock up with a 'VIRUS ALERT' warning in the right lower corner of the screen.I spent a long time finding the removal tool, my own (updated) spyware and antivirus missed it, it's that nasty..Download and run for free malwarebyte's amazing programme, just do a 'quick scan' it will find and kill anything:http://www.help2go.com/Tutorials/Protect_Your_PC/Malwarebytes_Anti-malware_Tutorial.html

Peter 'Ivanna Crashalot' Savage
dont get me started on avast! it keeps asking us if we wanna delete the operating system every now and then it just keeps going on saying "caution! a virus has been detected" then when you set it to do something it says it again! Peter 'Ivanna Crashalot' Savage
hmm maybe but it asks you if you want to delete system files maybe some time i should get the programs then just wipe it clean and reinstall everything, and do it with all the network computers
