john stones 1 - Moderator
Starts tomorrow Scotland v Ireland... should be a great game to start it off, Ireland by 10 points. England v France.... few lads missing for us, and who knows how the French will play, England to win a close one. Italy v Wales.... Wales by 20 points. John.... Don Fry
John. SHMBO. off to Paris on a day trip tomorrow. Did not realise what was on. Not picked for her forward planning. Not informed of errors. I am therefore set for a quiet day. A venison ragout is coming out of the freezer, and I think dumplings will be a good partner. I bought a malt today, and have, this very second, remembered my lovely sister gave me an exquisite bottle for my birthday last week. I would take issue with you views of the scores. Scotland/Ireland, nothing in it. Could go either way. An England scratch pack will still see the French off. And I reckon, quietly, don't be too sure that Wales will be that far in front, and I would not bet against an upset. We will see, assuming I can still focus at the end. Don Fry
Although I worry about the rain in Paris. I would prefer to have maximum brute force available. But I still back our pack.
john stones 1 - Moderator
Don't matter if it rains in Paris, games at Twickenham
Don Fry
Thank you John. I seem to have spent the week being told the game was in Paris, and I had a bit of senile worry, because I was sure I remembered a magnificent trashing handed out in Paris last year. But didn't check so was living in dreamland.
Graham R
I think the Irish will be there to spoil the party.
Don Fry
You may be right Graham, it's all very tight. Mind, it could be as simple as the winners can keep more players on the park than the losers, given the rule changes,
Graham R
True. Enjoy the Malt
Don Fry
Wow, great, and I think Scotland grew up today. And they do a lot of hard yards for not much result. But today their nerve held and well done they. Don Fry
Malt's cutting in. Getting gobby. Missing a bit of weight today. The current prayer is they tire. Even the whippets are nervous. And they had a (failed) go at three hares this morning. Even hares are big in France.
john stones 1 - Moderator
Well it's close, but not great is it 2nd half's to come though.

Don Fry
John, as they used to say, win ugly. But no one remembers who came second in a two horse race. And that team does not need a lesson in complacency.
john stones 1 - Moderator
I was praying with you Donald, outplayed in lots of area but refused to be beaten, superb bunch of players John
ron evans
Managed to miss most of the rugby today, caught the last bit of the England game to see them scrape home. Scotland / Ireland sounded like a good contest. No banana skins tomorrow I hope
Don Fry
Best thou avoids bananas for breakfast tomorrow Ron. That contest is not, as the Trumpists would say, a slam dunk. Italy will come at you wielding chainsaws. If your lot panic, they are lost.

ron evans
Italy yellow card helped wales get their noses in front. Finished strongly and unlucky not to get that try at the end. Don't panic Mr Mainwaring
Don Fry
So at the end of a good weekend what have we learned. As predictors of matches, John Stones or I, have the ability of any (random) dead slug. Scotland need a reality check. I would not wish to face them next. Ron and Dai, don't expect nice next week. Nothing personal, but war is war.
