Don Fry
Nice summery Nigel On why he was charged. A senior prosecutor rated the chances of a successful prosecution, on the benchmark, beyond reasonable doubt, as better than 50/50. Juries can do bizarre, I once knew a professional burglar who always went before a jury, he reckoned it was in his best interests, but here it's hard work for the victims families, but not a bizarre decision. Rich too
I have always been sceptical of the pilots explanation. After all, what is the alternative? Probably a jail sentence. So I don’t blame him for defending his corner. His display had to be stopped at another show I believe (mentioned by another poster?). Hopefully justice will be done for the families and the right outcome will prevail, whatever that may be.
Jon H
I dont think this case went in front of a jury. I assume they didnt think they could get a fair verdict given the circumstances and media attention?
PatMc
The trial was heard at the Old Bailey before a jury. The inquest is yet to be held, I think it may be possible that further action could result from that. BTW I think people should be very careful what they post on here, there's already one post that IMO could possibly be deemed libellous Edited By PatMc on 11/03/2019 21:40:
