trebor
I've been using this for about 3 years now in my Funcub. A couple of times I've had a dead stick due to the motor stopping, when I've tried the motor again there has been plenty of power I know it's not low power as I've a low voltage alarm set at 3.8 v which has never gone off. The throttle on my tx is on a switch and the motor did start up all on its own luckily for me I had hold of the tail. Now I have changed over from Spektrum to Taranis and I re calibrated the high / low throttle position in the Esc programming using the tx. Didn't make any difference. I have tried another motor, exactly the same. I did notice the throttle stick now turns the motor just below half way so I tried a servo and that moves as soon as I touch the throttle stick. I switched back to spectrum no difference. Is it possible the Esc has lost some of its control at lower speed settings ?
Denis Watkins
This sounds like the battery pack, or at least the power leads to the ESC causing problems
Simon Chaddock
You need to calibrate the throttle, in other words, tell the ESC what the range of Tx throttle movement actually is. The instructions to set up your ESC are available on line here. **LINK**
trebor
Do you know the difference between a pp-tesc and a pp-eesc ? Funny thing is I've had to do nothing to it for three years
