Mike T
I've not used these people, but they seem to have a huge selection! Topp Rippin (Germany): **LINK** Edited By Mike T on 27/03/2018 20:05:
Robert Welford
I was in Germany 10 days ago and dropped in on Harry's Modellbau Service. http://www.harrys-modellbau-service.de/ Harry is a very helpful guy who builds for people. He has Tangent gliders in stock - Alpina 4001 and loads of moulded gliders including 1/3 scale ASG 29 and 9m ASH25 and a 7m Nimbus etc. Unknown to me scale gliders now use FES (front electric sustainer) as per full-size, but the motors use an extension with a quick release folding propeller. They are using retracts with higher throw (for more ground clearance) so that they can take-off from the ground. Harry's Tangent ASG 29 (6m) FES in action at the Wasserkuppe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAV9LMQ5eiA Edited By Robert Welford on 27/03/2018 20:17:
KiwiKid
Some great info here. I particularly like Topp Rippin, as mentioned by MikeT, and often like to scroll through their wares just to look at the neat pics and get some colour design inspirations. Great to see them getting into some vintage scale models as well. This is a bit of a niche market and most manufacturers shy away from it as sales are never going to be very high. Here's a couple of manufacturers that have vintage models available. Here's an interesting listing of some of them at Lindinger Modellbau: **LINK**
