Paul james 8
Very interesting thread on the Dutch site Martin, I used the google translator to get a better idea of what it was all saying and noticed quite a few references to "ferrets". i12fly
Well my Baronette turned out at 2860g, but it was quite heavily(!) modified to be more like a DR1, and had a fair bit of litho plate near the nose
Martin Boie Christiansen
“Dutch”!!!!! I beg your pardon!!! It is Danish. I have no idea which word was translated into ferrets?? Some og the biggest mods was changing the sweep angle of the tailplane, cut outs in the center wing and the cabane struts between mid and top wing. I picked very light wood throughout the whole construction.

Modelfixings. BTC If they were the original ones mine were quite a bit smaller than 1/.4 inch. Plane looks great after the refurb, still waiting for the weather to improve so I can get mine flown, too wet to get the grass cut short enough for this type of model to take off from. I know this is old news, but in Canada we use 10-24 and 10-32 nylon wing mounting bolts, they are 0.181 Inch Dia

Martin Boie Christiansen
Did maiden flight last Friday. It flew absolutely wonderfull. Very little trim required and CG (as per plans) was spot on. It had scale like power with the little SC .30 fourstroke. But what a joy. It is such a shame that nobody offers this kit anymore. Next build will be the Legionaire if I can get a hold on the plans I am unable to post pictures. But you can see it on the Danish site
Paul james 8
Don't know if any if you guys who have Flair WW1 planes might be interested but I'm trying to put together a meet for some time in the summer 2020. It may be as a part of another warbird type meet and possibly over a weekend. Will post more details when we are further on with organisation. Simon Knight
Martin, nice to see it has all come together well and you've had several successful flights with her. Had a look on the Danish site. I have 2 more Baronette kits just in case I had an accident I couldn't recover from. Good to have some spares. I also have the Legionnaire, SE5a , couple of Puppeteers (Mk1 and 2) and a Harvard for variety. Just need space, time and money to build them.
