alan p
Needs to make some brass clamps for cabane fixing. Seem to remember an article on "how to" sometime ago. Any body with a better memory to point the way would be appreciated. Would prefer not to use plastic
kc
I am pretty sure it was Brian Winch 'Wizard of Oz' article in the last few years. It may be quicker just to experiment with some brass or tinplate than to search all the RCME archives ( under Features above) Basically I think the technique is to set an engineers vice jaws apart by the thickness of the wire diameter plus twice the material thickness and hammer a bit of piano wire down into the material placed over the open vice jaws. Material need to be over length so it is supported on both vice jaws. Edited By kc on 09/11/2018 12:53:
Stephen Jones
i use fire alarm P Clips as i use them in my job they are now powder coated, but it does come off easy to reveal a brass like material . Or if it does not have to be brass B&Q sell them in PE. Steve.
