Dean Hunter
I have a BH Pitts S2 (60" The instructions are confusing re the CoG. Web search suggests that the CoG position can vary hugely ??? Has anyone any experience of this models CoG?
Denis Watkins
I fly I/ C Dean, so take what you can I expect a model to change weight in flight and they do I have both a 60" Tiger Moth and The BH 60" and both balance 106mm to 112mm from top leading edge On top of this, both change as C of G goes aft as the flight progresses These bipes collectively, in plan view, have a good size chord which tolerates change If your BH is electric, 112mm is a good start
john stones 1 - Moderator
C.G info will give you a range to choose from, start at a forward point, fly it and adjust to suit your style.
Dean Hunter
Denis/John I fly i/c.So CG will change during flight. The manual says 70mm +/- 10mm, tho some manuals for the same model say lower and some flyers suggest 125mm. I will start about 70mm ands how it goes, moving the CG back is easier than moving it forward. Many thanks.

Nigel R
Standard biplane behaviours I'd guess? Steep approach, keep some power on? Like to keep spinning unless a bit of opposite rudder and power is used?
Richard Wills 2
I have the Blackhorse Pitts, and the manual position is too far forward. I added weight to the tail gradually and ended up happy at 130mm. At 70mm landings were like a freight train and flares were impossible.
