Christopher Morris 2
Just picked up an ebay cheapy & would like some help please. Its a old but brand new Seagull Boomerang 40 with 4 channels & says a suitable 40-46 2-stroke. (52 4-stroke) & weighs in at 2.8Kg. Any recommendations for a brushless motor/ESC/Batteries/prop. Would prefer to be slightly over spec than to exacted. Thanks Edited By Christopher Morris 2 on 27/10/2019 16:43:

Capt Kremen
Hi Chris, Several 'Electric' versions in my club. Typical 4-Max set up: Motor PO-5055-595 / ESC 60A or above / 4 or 5S LiPo / Props To Suit Varying Cell Number e.g. APC 13x6.5 All fly superbly, very smooth, no vices. Flight times of 7+ minutes with 'go-around' power to spare and more. As always, '4-Max' George is your man for the latest info as available equipment does vary and change from time to time. Geoff S
Thinking aloud here. Weight = 3kg (6.4lbs) so about 600 watts ? Prop = 12x6 spinning at 10k wot? I'd go for 4S LiPo approx 15 v so current = 600/15 amps = 37, say 40. So a 50/60 amp esc for adequate overhead. Motor needs to be 10k/15 = 600/700 say and capable of 40 amps minimum. Somehing like this, say? Geoff
Christopher Morris 2
Thanks guys. Have also dropped 4-Max an email to see what he suggests & has in stock. Nice site he has with lots of bits bobs that are not so easy to find.
