Das Ghosten Flugboot

Recommended Posts

A couple of chaps at my club have built these as a bit of fun and use Cox engines, I have decided to join in but go electric I have the wood needed and most of the electronics all I needed was the plan which I found on ebay amongst others in RCM&E back issues.

So Tally Ho! I'm in first job was to transfer the fuselage sides to grease proof paper and use a pin to transfer those lines to the balsa. I have also cut the formers ready for glueing up with the sides in the morning, two of the formers are laminated so I'm waiting for them to dry.

I built one years ago, only flew it once, reason why I was using standard servos, 500mah 4 cell battery and huge 35meg rx. Pity I sold it, though must still have the plan, and did find the two pontoons which I didn't sell it with. Might built another, using lighter gear and 2.4.

Found the old 35mm prints, so scanned them in and here.

It had an OS10FP engine, which I will use again. Where are those plans...?
