Erfolg
Flight & Patmac It is so, so, so annoying, disappointing, that when you think you have found a product that suits, or is near enough, it will be out of stock or back-order. The battery that is in place has a soldered connection, their being no plug. Always makes me nervous soldering to batteries. I am guessing that the tags on some lipos are tinned? Or suitable for tinning. Maybe there is a way that may be less obvious to me, requiring more specialised equipment. It has been the P&P which has often encouraged me to purchase from overseas. From HK, it is often cheaper from Holland, Banggood, the P&P has been pennies. From the UK I have used SLEC, spending +£100 for free P&P. The other side of the coin is that to get to my LMS does cost about £12, being 120 mile round trip.

But I look at it this way if I want the item I just add the postage to the cost of the item and thats the price pay or go without . delivery man got bills to pay to Edited By flight1 on 27/04/2020 12:32:
leccyflyer
Erfolg - doesn;t the existing battery have leads? If so, just cut the lead short at the cell and splice it to the leads from a new battery -one at a time mind. No need to be soldering directly to the battery tags. Erfolg
I thought I should let you all know out of politeness as well as my gratitude in your help and the links you provided. Who ever provided the HK link is the one that came up trumps. I placed the order with a few other things, all on back order. The forgot about the order. Last week a Lipo came through with something else, much to my surprise. It came with one of those little red plugs. I cut that of, then soldered the leads together. When I worked ther was a bit of jargon for this, with age, i just see it as being soldered. My next concern was that the weights would be sufficiently different to cause a trim, stability issue. It flies well. From now on I will occasionally fly it about the house. I do realise that the real issue i do not like having things that do not work, when they could, plus i hate bining things that could be made to work. The older i get the sadder I become. I hope to become rally, really sad, if god is willing.
