Ben Mullins
Have you tried the Ziroli one tom? At 114" it may be a little to big and with power from 38cc to 52cc a bit out of electric (am i correct elecric wizards?). Here's a link: Ziroli P-
Always broke
You could fly this on electric no problem. A hobby City set up would not cost the earth. A123 cells would lend themselves to this very well I would think. Stunning model. BUT it would not sound right at all. 2 big petrol engines against 2 brushless motors. No contest. Tom Mann
holy moly that is a beauty Ben - thanks a million for the link, much obliged.Mental note: start playing the lottery! I must admit though, I agree that the petrols would sound awesome and probably less fussy that glows to match to eachother.Anything in the 60-90" range anyone? Simon Chaddock
An electric P38 sound all wrong? I am not so sure. One of the many nick names for the P38 by the Japanese was "whistling death" because its complex turbo superchargers completely muffled the individual exhaust beats so it was relatively quiet (when compared to an open exhaust engine!). It could be said that electric sound (mostly prop noise) is actually more realistic but not necessarily as impressive.
Always broke
May bee impressive is whats needed in a model like this.
Ben Mullins
Tom you could always get the Ziroli plan and reduce it to 50 or 75% of its original size. Then you have a great model right slap bang in the middle of the size you want!

Myron Beaumont
I remember as a young lad (don't mention the war ) fitting a fag packet to my bicycle frame to rub on the spokes to sound like an engine Does that give anyone ideas ?
