William Dunlop
Hi, I have just acquired a Top Flite Elder which has never had any power unit fitted to it and I was wondering if anyone had converted one to electric and could recommend a suitable electric set up for it. Thanks
kc
You will need to state which Elder you have - Top Flite produced a 40 and a 20 size version. Giving the actual weight will also help people to advise on electric motors. The plan and the original manual for the Elder 40 are here on Outerzone. PatMc
That's about the same size & weight as my Magnattila. It was converted to electric some time ago using a Turnigy motor that is probably this one "re-badged" - same size weight & KV, ESC is 60A, I've used 4s 2650 & 4000mAH batteries, prop is 12x6. timber007
Hi. I see that you built a Flair Magnattile. I'm a Expat living in L.A. Not long ago I brought the kit from a local hobby store (Not many left) but it did not have the plans. Did not think I would have a lot of trouble finding a set. Do you still have the plans, are know someone that does. I am coming back to England in about 3 weeks, and if you, or someone else has a set I would more than pay for postage and or copy them. If you can help, I would really appreciate it. FYI all ready tried outerzone, and Fred's. Thanks Tony
kc
Tony, I suggest you start a new thread with a heading of Magnatilla to attract attention of Magnatilla owners. Edited September 26, 2023 by kc
