Paul De Tourtoulon
I had an OS .45 Fsr long ago ( 1987 ? ) and a club member had the Magnum, both giving the same rpm and running characteristics, When I sold them in my model shop the chrome would come off if run in on the ground ( piston and cylinders changed by the distributor ) then Robbe sold them, the .90 lasted 3 flights in an F 4 and the .45 around the same in a Robbe helicopter 'Junior .50"( 1995 ? ) in differant costumers 'toys' , they had a better finished than ASP that the club members were buying from the importers ( went bust long ago ) and probable only 3 out of 10 ran properly, I have never seen an SC. Rich Griff
When I enquired Weston's said that Thier fuel does not have any castor. That will please some on here. However what ever lub was in the fuel well and truelly welded itself onto the outside of the engine and was the devil to remove. Well and truelly caked and welded on. Magnum gp40 2 t engine, still runs well. Made in Taiwan. Enya no 3 glow plug but initially run on idle bar plug and straight caster. When I got the engine new I discovered lots of tiny glass beads inside the engine. I moaned ( to ripmax if I remember correctly ). A month later a new engine arrived un announced. Guess what, that one also had glass beads inside. No worries, a freebee, result. That one is still in its box, but cleaned.
