Adrian Smith 1
I have tried a fruitless search for my JP UltraPower18 switch power supply (transformer). I know it has a bit of history to it, but I thought I might resurrect it to power any DC charger I have via the mains voltage. I am curious about what the Voltage Adjust 13.8v +0.2 screw is for, hence my quest for the manual which I have searched for but can't find. I am sure it is straightforward but I would like to be certain Edited March 4, 2023 by Adrian Smith
Martin Harris - Moderator
I doubt there’s much in the way of a manual for it. The adjustment is probably provided for fine tuning for more critical uses than powering a battery charger - most likely a rebadged PSU designed for other uses. If you don’t get anything from here, you could always give JP a call…
Andy Stephenson
Adrian, It looks like a battery charger repurposed to be a power supply. 13.8V is the standard for constant voltage charging a 12V lead acid battery so the adjustment is to make sure it is set accurately.
